Yemoja is an African goddess - the goddess of fertility, rivers, water, the moon and creation and also creator and protector of all souls - spirits or Orishis. and the twin shield. The goddess, in her image or in some archetypal image, returns and returns to me following different constellations - on mother, on the child, on pregnancy, returns and reminds me that she is here too. I met Yamoja as a girl in fertility ceremonies in Nigeria, West Africa, where I lived in my youth.
