The process of “untangling the knots” involves recognizing events, individuals, and emotions as they are, even when painful or unwanted. Such acknowledgment fosters emotional movement, systemic reordering, and ultimately healing, whereas resistance often perpetuates stagnation and conflict.
In this sense, acknowledgment forms the foundation for systemic restoration, enabling the resumption of life’s natural flow and supporting processes of psychological integration, resilience, and growth. By acknowledging “what is,” we can create a mental map of the unconscious that represents the client’s core beliefs about the current situation. This mapping provides a phenomenological entry point into hidden dynamics and allows for new insights and systemic shifts to occur.
amily constellation work enables us to see ourselves and our relationships in a new light, to gain deep insights, and to open new possibilities for healing and development. During the process, we “untangle knots” connected to conflicts, relationships, or recurring patterns that affect our lives. The client brings a particular issue—whether it is a personal challenge, a relationship, experiences from the past, or a dilemma—into the therapeutic space.
Through visual representations—such as figurines, objects, cloths, or participants serving as representatives—the client’s inner and systemic landscape unfolds before our eyes. Through this experiential process, we can identify:
The connections between figures – who is close, who is distant, and who is influencing whom.
The hidden dynamics – subtle or unconscious relational patterns that we may not have been aware of.
The unconscious influences – inner forces that shape our lives in ways that are not immediately visible.
This work allows us to see things differently, to restore each figure to its rightful place within the system, and to open a new space of choice and freedom.
